On Saturday March 9, 2024 starting at 8 PM at the Red History Museum, we are opening the exhibition: "Cuban revolutionary posters 1968 – 1971." by collector and author Igor Jović.
The Cuban poster from the late 1960s – early 1970s is quite suitable for the political and historical circumstances of the time.
If we take into account the specific relationship between Cuba and the USA (geographical proximity – political distance), the good traditional foundations of Cuba (artists trained abroad, hosting high-quality exhibitions, freedom of expression within the given political framework) and we garnish all this with a Latin temperament and initial revolutionary with elan, we get a unique product – a Cuban poster.
This collection was collected during a year and a half stay in Cuba. It is now owned by Igor Jović, a collector from Zagreb. Until now, it has been exhibited in Ljubljana – gallery "Alkatraz", Zagreb – gallery "Pravi put", and Novi Sad – MSU.
The exhibition remains open until May 31, 2024.
